A special stamp to commemorate National Communications Day was launched by Thai Post on August 4, 2010.

Thailand became a member of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) on July 1st, 1885. This enabled it to provide International postal services under the same rules as other Union members. Someone who played an important role in helping Thailand to become a member of the UPU was H.H. Prince Prisdang, who was, at the time, a Thai Ambassador to Europe.
