The stamp "Freedom from Hunger" for Malaya in 1963 was issued as part of a worldwide campaign by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to raise public awareness of global hunger and encourage action to solve it. As a participating country, Malaya issued these stamps to support the campaign's goal of collecting funds and coordinating efforts to combat world hunger.
