Haliç is a station on the M2 line of the Istanbul Metro.^[1] It is a part of the Golden Horn Metro Bridge and is located between the districts of Fatih and Beyoğlu above the Golden Horn. The station was opened on 15 February 2014 as part of the line's extension to Yenikapı Transfer Center.

Husam Bey Camii

Tidak jauh dari homestay (area Fateh) ada sebuah masjid nama Husambey Camii. Lokasinya bersebelahan dengan Valens Aqueduct. Ada yang menulis sebut menara camii telah rosak patah akibat gempa pada 1999.

Husam Reis later Bey presents an unusual opportunity to trace the career of an individual who achieved the rank of Derya Bey (sancak bey of a maritime province) and almost became Kapudan Pasha in 1591. Despite gaps and ambiguities in Husam’s biography due to the sources, Husam rose from a devshirme recruit to the rank of sancak bey. This biography relies on Mühimme orders, whose great limitation is that identifying specific individuals is difficult because orders frequently mention men by title rather than by name. The other main sources are reports submitted by Grand Vezir Koca Sinan Pasha to Murad iii. However, the accuracy of Koca Sinan is questionable: he referred to events that had occurred many years previously and moreover he was not a disinterested party since he was doing his utmost to persuade Murad iii to give the admiralship to Husam Bey in 1591.

Hagia Sophia

Hagia Sophia - a must visit.

When it was first built, it was named Megale Ekklesia (Big Church); however, after the fifth century, it was referred to as the Hagia Sophia (Holy Wisdom). The church was the place in which rulers were crowned, and it was also the biggest operational cathedral in the city throughout the Byzantine period. The first church was constructed by Emperor Konstantios (337-361) in 360. The first church was covered with a wooden roof and expanded vertically (basilica) yet was burned down after the public riot that took place in 404 as a result of the disagreements between Emperor Arkadios’ (395-408) wife empress Eudoksia and İstanbul’s patriarch Ioannes Chrysostomos, who was exiled.

The Hagia Sophia Mosque is famous for its exterior as well as its interior. The mausoleums of Ottoman Sultans outside the building are among the first to visit. There are tombs of princes and mausoleums of Sultan Selim II, Sultan Murad III, Sultan Mehmed III, Sultan Mustafa I, and Sultan Ibrahim whose reigns followed one another. Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque more than just a monument to the grandeur of human achievement and artistic expression. It also serves as the final resting place for five sultans and their families, giving it a venerated historical status befitting its age and history. The four minarets of Hagia Sophia, known to be built by Mimar Sinan, the fountain of Sibyan (elementary) school, the clock room, the fountains, buttresses, the treasury building and the soup kitchen are also increasing the magnificence of the structure.

Penerbangan amik masa sepuluh jam. Ada juga beberapa kali berlaku turbulence. Sehingga crew tak dapat hidnag minuman panas. Diganti dengan sebotol air mineral sahaja. Tiba di Istanbul Airport sekitar jam lima dua puluh pagi. Dah nak habis waktu subuh.

Boarding time sekitar 9.50 malam. Penerbangan dengan B777. Seat 43A,B,C. Makanan dihidang dua kali. Pertama nasi dengan kari ayam. Kedua roti bersama telur scrambled eggs.

Atik Ali Pasya

Atik Ali Pasya and Kariya Mosque (link):

After the conquest, this structure, which was neglected for a while, was converted into a mosque by Atik Ali Pasha in 1509. The pasha transformed this building akin to his personal transformation. He turned this structure, which was the church of a Byzantine monastery, into a mosque. Then it was used as a mosque throughout the Ottoman Empire.
