Kritikan Terhadap Harun Nasution

 

Baru-baru ini telah selesai membaca sebuah buku tulisan Harun Nasution (1919-1998). Penulis HS merupakan seorang akademia Indonesia. Beliau lulusan McGill dan banyak menghasilkan buku dan membuat kajian tentang Islam terutama dalam aspek sejarah pembaharuan atau ada yang menyebut sebagai modernis. Ada tulisan HS yang agak kontroversial dan mendapat kritikan hangat.

Ketika period belum ada fasiliti emel dulu rajin juga ke pejabat pos. Tambah pula bila ada pengumuman ada setem baru yang akan dijual. Salah satu setem baru yang menjadi tarikan ialah setem kapal selam pertama yang dimiliki oleh TLDM. Setem pelancaran KD Tunku Abdul Rahman. Setem dilancarkan jualannya pada Setember 2009.

Sebuah artikel yang tajuknya panjang;

The Caliphate: Coming Soon To A Country Near You?  The Globalisation of Islamic Discourse and its Impact in Malaysia and Beyond oleh Farish Noor.

Paragraf akhir artikel meyebut;

We can still dream of the coming of a cyber-Caliphate to come, but ours would be a Caliphate modelled on the Andalusian ideal- A minimalist confederation of autonomous centres and sites of discursive activity, based on the view of a global Islamic Ummah that is open, tolerant, decentred and poly-nuclear; cognisant of the porousness of its boundaries and the heterogeneity of its genealogy. This will not happen by itself, or through wishful thinking- such an entity can only come about through conscious and sustained political struggle on a number of levels: political, economic and discursive. Because the goal is a global one, the terrain of conflict and contestation will also have to be global as well. While such a Caliphate may not be the dream of groupings like the Taleban, Hizb’ut Tahrir and al-Muhajiroun, it is at least a dream and an invitation that is open to others.
