This model was aimed at the community of hunters.  The pen sports a sterling silver barrel overlay done in the Toledo style and portrays a classic motif.  The scene is dominated by the depiction of a stag held at bay by two hunting dogs.

1,000 Years of Austria - Pelikan produced this Limited Edition to commemorate  Austria's 1000th Jubilee in 1996. The design was naturally, entrusted to an Austrian national - Herr Professor Gustav Peichl, an esteemed architect.

The finished pen was presented to an audience of 100 special guests in the Emperor's Pavilion, located in Schönbrunn's Zoological Garden, Vienna. 700  of the pens were supplied to Austria, with another 150 to Germany, leaving just 150 going to the rest of the world.

The DUOFOLD was originally launched in 1921. 

Introduced in 1927, the unusual and exotic Mandarin Yellow Duofold was originally inspired by a CLOISONNE vase George Parker purchased in Japan. 

Yellow was a colour strongly associated with the Orient and particularly suitable for the fashion conscious 1920's when Far Eastern influence abounded. 

Company founder George S. Parker made many trips abroad promoting the name of PARKER. During a trip to the Orient in 1926 he was attracted to a particularly beautiful yellow Cloisonné vase in a Japanese shop.

In 1998 Parker produced a Lapis Lazuli Duofold Centennial for the Benelux countries markets to commemorate the 100 year jubilee of the Belgian artist René Francois Ghislain Magritte (born on 21 November 1898 in  Lessines, Belgium). The pen had his signature on the cap and the crown sported a stylized white bird.

Lucky 8, a digit that is due to the importance of the founding date of the brand, due to George Safford Parker in 1888.
