The DUOFOLD was originally launched in 1921.
Introduced in 1927, the unusual and exotic Mandarin Yellow Duofold was originally inspired by a CLOISONNE vase George Parker purchased in Japan.
Yellow was a colour strongly associated with the Orient and particularly suitable for the fashion conscious 1920's when Far Eastern influence abounded.
Company founder George S. Parker made many trips abroad promoting the name of PARKER. During a trip to the Orient in 1926 he was attracted to a particularly beautiful yellow Cloisonné vase in a Japanese shop.
