Pelikan Fountain Pen Expo 2000 (Humankind - 1998)

1998: Hanovre 2000 - marks the 2000 Expo (1,998 pieces); XVI Commonwealth Games Kuala Lumpur 1998 (888 pieces).

The Pelikan Expo 2000 Hannover fountain pen series, launched to celebrate the World Expo in Germany. Consists of three limited edition models released between 1998 and 2000. 

The series includes Humankind (1998), Nature (1999) and Technology (2000).

Genesis of the Olympiad




In honor of the Olympic spirit Pelikan designed the fountain pen 'Genesis of the Olympiad'. The edition of 776 copies, symbolizes the year of the first Olympic Games. 

The gold-plated sterling silver sleeve is engraved with an illustration showing a foot race in the stadium, which was the only discipline for the first 13 games, and remained the most important event even after others were introduced.

The 1998 Pelikan reproduction of the 1935 fountain pen is known as the '1935 Jade'. Part of the "Originals of Their Time" series.

It is a limited edition, with 4,000 pieces produced, modeled after the vintage Pelikan 101 fountain pen from 1935.

Pelikan Fountain Pen 1931 Reproduction (1997)

1997: 1931 - reproduction of the 1931 Pelikan 100 (5,000 pieces).

In 1997 Pelikan issued the collection "Originals of Their Time” which comprises a series of pens which were specifically designed to imitate famous Pelikan models from the past. This models replicates a famous vintage Pelikan which was dubbed "gold Pelikan", because of the sleeve in solid gold.
