Thailand became a member of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) on July 1st, 1885. This enabled it to provide International postal services under the same rules as other Union members. Someone who played an important role in helping Thailand to become a member of the UPU was H.H. Prince Prisdang, who was, at the time, a Thai Ambassador to Europe.

Sweden postal authority (Posten Sverige AB) has issued a stamp depicting one of famous architectures in Sweden - the Royal Palace. The stamp was issued on Sep 02, 2002 as a joint issue of Sweden-Thailand.
