Pos Malaysia issued a series of commemorative stamps in September 2001 to celebrate Malaysia hosting the XXI SEA Games (Sukan SEA). These stamps were released to mark the historic multi-sport event and celebrate Malaysia's overall championship victory - the first time the country topped the medal tally since the games began in 1959.
