Pos Malaysia released the Semi Aquatic Animals commemorative stamp series on October 9, 2006, as part of its annual Stamp Week celebration. The collection was issued to raise public awareness about the rich wetland ecosystems of Malaysia and to highlight the importance of conserving unique species that rely on both land and water.
