Pos Malaysia issued the 2017 "World Post Day (Pos-Silang)" stamp series on October 9, 2017, to celebrate the global postal industry and the popular hobby of postcrossing. The stamps were designed to encourage letter-writing, promote cross-border cultural exchange, and keep the tradition of sending postcards alive in a digital era.
