Spain: Al-Idrisi (2006)
Al-Idrisi is a famous Muslim geographer. Spain has honoring Idrisi by a special stamp issued on June 15, 2006. The stamp was issued under the theme of famous celebrities - probably on the occasion of the 840th anniversary of his death (i.e., 1166).
Al-Idrisi (1100 - 1166) was an Arab geographer, cartographer an traveler who live in Sicily. A biography of him can be read - here.
